Bhumihar Brahmin or Babhan or Brahmarshis is a Hindu Brahmin community mainly found in the Indian states of Bihar Uttar Pradesh Jharkhand Bengal Bundelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and Nepal.There is also a significant migrant population of Bhumihars in Mauritius Suriname Trinidad and Tobago Guyana and others.
