Bexlosteride (LY-191704) is a potent and noncompetitive inhibitor of the enzyme 5α-reductase related to finasteride and dutasteride. It is selective for the type I isoform of the enzyme. It was never marketed. Notable is that while finasteride has 100x selectivity for the type II isoform of the receptor Bexlosteride is type I selective.
