In enzymology a beta-alanyl-CoA ammonia-lyase (EC 4.3.1.6) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionbeta-alanyl-CoA acryloyl-CoA + NH3Hence this enzyme has one substrate beta-alanyl-CoA and two products acryloyl-CoA and NH3.This enzyme belongs to the family of lyases specifically ammonia lyases which cleave carbon-nitrogen bonds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is beta-alanyl-CoA ammonia-lyase (acryloyl-CoA-forming).
