The Bend Rainbows were a professional baseball team in Bend Oregon from 1970 to 1971. They were a minor league affiliate of the California Angels and a member of the Northwest League. After the 1971 season the Angels affiliate became the Walla Walla Islanders.Actor Kurt Russell played second base for the Rainbows in 1971 hitting .285 with 1 home run. Future Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago Cubs manager Tom Treblehorn also played for the team in both years of its existence.
