Batik Air is a scheduled Indonesian airline which made its maiden flight on May 3 2013. Batik Air bases its aircraft in Manado a city on North Sulawesi to serve East Asia and also East of Indonesia. It will compete with full-service airlines such as Garuda Indonesia. The airline is currently banned from operating in EU airspace.
