Barry Egan (born 18 August 1972) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with Cork in the 1990s.Barry Egan was born in County Cork in 1972. He was educated locally and later studied computers at the Cork RTC. Egan played Gaelic games with his local Delaney Rovers club and was soon noted by the Cork inter-county hurling selectors. He first tasted hurling success in 1990 when he won a Munster minor medal however the side were defeated in the All-Ireland Minor Final.
