Barentu/Barentoo or (older) Baraytuma is one of the two moieties of the Oromo people. The other moiety is Borana. The Barentu Oromo inhabit the eastern parts of the Oromia Region in Ethiopia. The Barentuu Oromos are inhabiting the zones of West Hararghe Zone and East Hararghe Zone Arsi Zone and Bale Zone.
