Baniwa of Guainia or Abane (Avane) is an Arawakan language of Venezuela with a few speakers in Brazil. It is one of several languages in the region called Baniwa. Ethnologue (2009) distinguishes between Baniva for the Baniwa of Guainia and Baniwa for the Baniwa of Içana but they are merely spelling variants and either may be used for either language.
