William Aubrey Aitken (known as Aubrey; 1911–1985) was the second Bishop of Lynn from 1972 until 1985.Born into an ecclesiastical family and educated at Norwich School and Trinity College Oxford he was ordained in 1935. After curacies at Tynemouth and Kingston Jamaica he was successively the incumbent at Kessingland Sprowston and St Margaret’s King’s Lynn before becoming Archdeacon of Norwich in 1961 a position he held until his elevation to the Episcopate.
