The Assembly of the Republic (Portuguese: Assembleia da República pronounced: [ɐsẽˈblɐjɐ dɐ ʁɛˈpublikɐ]) is the Portuguese parliament. It is located in a historical building in Lisbon referred to as Palácio de São Bento the site of an old Benedictine monastery.
