Artūrs Jakovļevs (born May 30 1967 in Riga) is a retired Latvian swimmer who specialized in sprint butterfly events. He is a three-time Olympian (1992 1996 and 2000) a former Latvian record holder in the 100 m butterfly and a member of the national swimming team under head coaches Alberts Pisarevs and Vladimirs Maslovskis.Jakovļevs became the first ever Latvian swimmer to compete at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona since the post-Soviet era.
