ARSAT-1 is a geostationary communications satellite which is to be operated by AR-SAT that was built by the argentinean company INVAP. Its launch is scheduled between 15 August and 15 September 2014. It will be located at 72º West longitude geostationary slot.ARSAT-1 will carry a total of 24 IEEE Ku band (NATO J-band) transponders operating twelve at 36 MHz eight at 54 MHz and four at 72 MHz.
