The Archdiocese of Baalbek / Ba’lbek / Eliopoli is a Melkite Greek diocese of Lebanon. It was established as a Diocese in 1701 under the leadership of Bishop Agapitos Malouf and was promoted to an Archdiocese on 18 November 1968 under Archbishop Joseph Malouf. The Archdiocese is currently headed by Archbishop Elias Rahal M.S.P.
