The Arakanese language (also known as Rakhine /rəˈkaɪn/; Burmese: ရခိုင်ဘာသာ [ɹəkʰàɪɴ bàθà] MLCTS: rakhuin bhasa) is often considered a dialect of Burmese. Arakanese can be divided into three dialects: Sittwe–Marma (about two thirds of speakers) Ramree and Sandoway.
