Antonio Rotta (Gorizia 1828- Venice 1903) was an Italian painter mainly of genre subjects. He was born in Gorizia in Friuli Venezia Giulia in 1828 he completes his studies. At the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice where he studied under Ludovico Lipparini. He often painted scenes embued with pathos including children or elderly or tender family scenes. In 1853 at the Exposition of Fine Arts in Milan he displayed the historical canvas of Titian intructs Irene of Spilimberg in painting.
