Andreas Hoffman studied directly from Grandmaster Wai Yan from 1986 until 1996 when He inherited the title of Grand Master but this claim has been objected. Today Hoffman disseminates his family lineage of Chi Sim Weng Chun/Weng Chun Kuen world-wide. Chi Sim Weng Chun is an offshoot of Yong Chun that traces its origins to the Shaolin temple via the Red boat.
