Andrea Petkovic (Serbian Cyrillic: Андреа Петковић; born 9 September 1987) is a German professional tennis player of Serbian origin. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina to a Serbian father and a Bosniak (Muslim) mother she moved to Germany when six months old.Petkovic turned professional in 2006 and reached her career-high singles ranking of world number 9 in October 2011 after reaching the quarterfinals of that year’s Australian Open French Open and US Open.
