Andrea Gaudenzi (Italian pronunciation: [anˈdrɛːa ɡauˈdɛntsi]; born July 30 1973) is a former tennis player from Italy who turned professional in 1990.Gaudenzi was born in Faenza Emilia-Romagna. He is best known for defeating Pete Sampras in the first round of the 2002 French Open. A right-hander he represented his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta where he was defeated in the third round by the eventual winner Andre Agassi.
