Andre Ward (born February 23 1984) is an American professional boxer and the current WBA (Super) and The Ring super middleweight champion and former WBC super-middleweight champion. Ward was a gold medalist at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He won his first world championship in 2009. Ward is rated as the #2 pound-for-pound boxer in the world by Yahoo! Sports Sports Illustrated ESPN and The Ring. He was named Ring Magazine fighter of the year in 2011.
