Andrés Velásquez is a Venezuelan politician associated with Radical Cause (La Causa Radical). Formerly the general secretary of the steelworkers union of SIDOR he became one of the leaders of Radical Cause after the death of its founder Alfredo Maneiro in 1982. He was the governor of Bolívar State from 1989 to 1995 and a member of the National Assembly of Venezuela from 2000 to 2006.
