In enzymology an aminodeoxychorismate synthase (EC 2.6.1.85) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionchorismate + L-glutamine 4-amino-4-deoxychorismate + L-glutamateThus the two substrates of this enzyme are chorismate and L-glutamine whereas its two products are 4-amino-4-deoxychorismate and L-glutamate.This enzyme belongs to the family of ligases specifically those forming carbon-nitrogen bonds carbon-nitrogen ligases with glutamine as amido-N-donor.
