In enzymology an aminobenzoate decarboxylase (EC 4.1.1.24) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction4(or 2)-aminobenzoate aniline + CO2Thus the two substrates of this enzyme are 4-aminobenzoate and 2-aminobenzoate whereas its two products are aniline and CO2.This enzyme belongs to the family of lyases specifically the carboxy-lyases which cleave carbon-carbon bonds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is aminobenzoate carboxy-lyase (aniline-forming).
