Dom Ambrose Griffiths OSB KC*HS (4 December 1928 – 14 June 2011) was a Benedictine abbot before becoming a Roman Catholic bishop in the Catholic Church in England and Wales.Born Michael Griffiths in Twickenham Middlesex and educated at Ampleforth College near York and at Balliol College Oxford he entered the monastery at Ampleforth taking the religious name of Ambrose and was ordained to the priesthood on 21 July 1957.
