Amanda Newton (born 8 April 1977 in London England) is an English netball player. Throughout her career Newton has played mostly goal defence (GD) but also wing defence (WD). She played netball for Newham in the London Youth Games.Newton debuted for the English national team in 1996 against Jamaica. Newton first captained the national team in 2003 in a test series against Jamaica. But later that year she ruptured her cruciate ligament and was absent from the national team until 2005.
