The Amalgamated Press was a newspaper and magazine publishing company founded by journalist and entrepreneur Alfred Harmsworth in 1901 gathering his many publishing ventures together under one banner.From 1912 they were based at Fleetway House in Farringdon Street London. In 1959 the company was bought by the Mirror Group and renamed Fleetway Publications.
