Althaea cannabina commonly called Palm-leaf Marshmallow or Hemp-leaved Hollyhock is a perennial herb belonging to the genus Althaea of the Malvaceae family. The leaves resemble those of hemp (Cannabis sativa) hence the specific epithet cannabina (hemp-like).
