Alliance ’90/The Greens (German: Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) is a green political party in Germany formed from the merger of the German Green Party (founded in West Germany in 1980) and Alliance 90 (founded during the Revolution of 1989–1990 in East Germany) in 1993. Its leaders are Simone Peter and Cem Özdemir. In the 2013 federal elections the party won 8.4% of the votes and 63 out of 630 seats in the Bundestag.
