Alireza Soleimani Karbalaei (Persian: علیرضا سلیمانی کربلایی born 2 February 1956 in Tehran) is a Iranian super heavyweight freestyle wrestler born in Tehran. He is the first and still the only Iranian to win the gold medal in the Superheavy Weight of Freestyle Wrestling which he won at the World Championship 1989 against Bruce Baumgartner.
