Alfred Paolo Conteh is a retired Major in the The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces and the current Defense Minister of Sierra Leone. He has served as Sierra Leone Defence minister since October 2007 when he was appointed by Sierra Leone’s president Ernest Bai Koroma and was later confirmed by parliament. Conteh is the nephew of former Sierra Leone’s President Joseph Saidu Momoh.Conteh is a keen sprinter and sportman.
