Alfred Grünfeld (Prague July 4 1852 – January 4 1924 Vienna) was an Austrian pianist and composer.He studied under Höger under Josef Krejčí at the Prague Conservatory and under Theodor Kullak at the Neue Akademie der Tonkunst Berlin. In 1873 he settled at Vienna where he received the title of Kammervirtuose. He made tours through Europe and the United States.During a visit to Germany Grünfeld was appointed court pianist to Emperor Wilhelm I of Germany.
