Alan Peter Winton (born 4 September 1958) is the Bishop of Thetford in the Church of England.Educated at Sheffield University he was ordained in 1991. His first post was as a Curate in Southgate. Later he was Priest in charge of St Paul’s Walden then CME Officer for the St Albans Diocese. Finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) he was Rector of Welwyn.Bishop Alan is married with two children.
