Alan Pentland (born 3 October 1883) was an Australian rules footballer who played with South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL).Pentland was a defender who played in the back pocket for South Melbourne in their 1909 VFL Grand Final team which won the club’s first ever premiership. He appeared in all 20 games in 1910 and the following season played finals football for the third successive year.
