Aghem is a Grassfields Bantu language spoken in the Wum Central Sub-division in Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon in the continent of Africa. Aghem is a tribe consisting of over 60 matrilineal clans and intramarriage is forbidden among the matriclans.The term Aghem refers to the speakers the land and the language. The land is made up of twelve federated villages. The Aghem use the leopard skin as their carpet.The Aghem language is also called Wum or Yum.
