Afro-Arab (or Black Arab) commonly refers to mixed-race communities or persons descended from Arabs and black African peoples from Sub-Saharan Africa (e.g. the Haratin or Comorians) or their culture. The term can also be used to mean an Arabized black person or group (e.g. the Akhdam).
