An adrenergic nerve fibre is a neuron for which the neurotransmitter is either adrenaline (epinephrine) noradrenaline or dopamine. Adrenergic nerve terminals are found in the secondary neurons of the sympathetic nervous system controlling amongst other things heart rate and force of contraction.
