Addison’s disease (also Addison disease chronic adrenal insufficiency hypocortisolism and hypoadrenalism) is a rare chronic endocrine disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce sufficient steroid hormones (glucocorticoids and often mineralocorticoids).
