The Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) created in 2001 is a non-profit organization whose stated mission is to improve student achievement in Chicago’s high-poverty schools through a transformation process built on a foundation of specially trained AUSL teachers.AUSL currently manages 25 Chicago Public Schools serving over 14000 students and has graduated over 500 residents from AUSL’s Chicago Teacher Residency.
