Abner Mares Martínez (born November 28 1985 in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico) is a Mexican professional boxer. Mares has won world titles in three weight divisions. Mares has held the IBF Bantamweight WBC Super bantamweight and WBC Featherweight championships. Abner medaled repeatedly in international amateur tournaments for Mexico. Mares grew up in the city of Hawaiian Gardens California.
