Abdullah ibn Masud Arabic: عبدالله بن مسعود‎ ‘abdullāh ibn mas’ūd was a ṣaḥābī or companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and an early convert to Islam after Muhammad started preaching in Mecca. He became qāḍī of Kufa in about 642 CE.
