Abdul Rahim Hatef (20 May 1926 – 19 August 2013) was an Afghan politician. He served as Vice President during the last years of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.[citation needed] He was born in Kandahar.Before the fall of Kabul he was the acting President of Afghanistan for two weeks in April 1992 due to the overthrow of President Mohammad Najibullah.[citation needed]He died 19 August 2013.
