Sultan Abdul Kahar was the seventh sultan of Brunei. He ruled from 1524 until stepping down from the throne on 1530 to allow his nephew Saiful Rijal to become sultan .[citation needed] He died in 1578.== Uncertainties ==The earliest historical record of the Sultans of Brunei is not clearly known due to the poor early documentation of Brunei history.
