Abderrahmane Farès (Arabic: عبدالرحمن فارس; ALA-LC: ʿAbd ar-Raḥman Fāris; Kabyle: Σebderaḥman Fares ⵄⴻⴱⴷⴻⵔⴰⵃⵎⴰⵏ ⴼⴰⵔⴻⵙ; January 30 1911 – May 13 1991) was the Chairman of the Provisional Executive of Algeria from 3 July 1962 to 20 September 1962.Farès who was born in Amalou Béjaïa Province was a lawyer by profession. After the Second World War Farès was elected to municipal council and the general council of Algiers.
