The 9th Venice International Film Festival was held from 30 August to 14 September 1941. The Venice International Film Festival left the headquarters of the Lido di Venezia. This edition like the 1940 and 1942 are considered void due of strong Fascist political meddling. Italy was experiencing a period of cultural depression oppressed by Fascist propaganda.
