8780 Forte (provisional designation: 1975 LT) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Mario R. Cesco from the Félix Aguilar Observatory at the Leoncito Astronomical Complex in Argentina on June 13 1975. It is named after Juan Carlos Forte an Argentine astronomer at the La Plata Astronomical Observatory.
