8373 Stephengould (1992 AB) is an outer main-belt asteroid discovered on January 1 1992 by Carolyn S. Shoemaker and Eugene Merle Shoemaker at Palomar. The asteroid was named after the Harvard paleontologist Stephen Jay Gould.This is a member of the Griqua family of asteroids that share similarorbital elements. It is one of very few asteroids located in the 2 : 1 mean motion resonance with Jupiter.
