8257 Andycheng (1982 HO1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on April 28 1982 by E. Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory. It was named in honor of Andrew F. Cheng (b. 1951) Chief Scientist at the Applied Physics Laboratory of Johns Hopkins University.
