8209 Toscanelli (provisional designation: 1995 DM2) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered by Piero Sicoli and Pierangelo Ghezzi at the Osservatorio Astronomico Sormano on February 28 1995. It is named after Paolo dal Pozzo Toscanelli a 15th-century Italian physician astronomer cosmographer and mathematician.
