8149 Ruff (1985 JN1) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on May 11 1985 by C. Shoemaker and E. Shoemaker at Palomar. This object is named after Jan Ruff chief of the Office of Public Affairs for Goddard Space Center NASA and after Steve Ruff a teacher.
