8146 Jimbell (1983 WG) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on November 28 1983 by E. Bowell at the Anderson Mesa Station of the Lowell Observatory. It is named after James F. Bell III a planetary scientist at Cornell University who is notable for his interpretation of the reflectance spectra of solar system bodies.
