79419 Gaolu (provisional designation: 1997 MZ) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered through the Beijing Schmidt CCD Asteroid Program at the Xinglong Station in the Yan Mountains of China on June 26 1997. It is named after Gaolu a Chinese astronomer of the 19th and 20th centuries.
